Suman Tatapudy currently serves as General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel at California Earthquake Authority since September 2019, focusing on public policy and developing innovative solutions to business challenges involving legislative and regulatory strategies. Prior to this role, Suman served as an Associate Attorney at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP from September 2014 to August 2019 and gained significant legislative experience as an Assembly Fellow with the California State Assembly from October 2013 to September 2014. Earlier experiences include a Law Clerk position at the Federal Communications Commission, a Communications Intern for a Congressional campaign, and roles such as Health Policy Intern in the United States House and Legal Intern at the Eviction Defense Collaborative. Suman holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Public Policy minor from the University of California, Berkeley.
