Matthew Melamed

Matthew Melamed, MD, MPH has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Matthew is currently serving as the Medical Director and Emergency Medicine Physician at Vituity since June 2022. Prior to this, they were the President & Founder of Bent Circle Inc from May 2010 to December 2021. Matthew also worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician and Chief Emergency Medicine Resident at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital from March 2017 to December 2019. In addition, they served as a Research Assistant at the same hospital from September 2013 to March 2014. Matthew Melamed has also worked as an EMS Fellow at the New York City Fire Department from July 2017 to June 2018 and as a Police Auxiliary Supervisor at the University of Maryland Department of Public Safety from October 2001 to July 2007.

Matthew Melamed, MD, MPH completed their education as follows:

- From 1998 to 2001, they attended HAFTR, obtaining a degree in a field not specified.

- From 2001 to 2005, they studied at the University of Maryland, earning degrees in Physiology & Neurobiology (PHNB) and Criminal Justice & Criminology (CCJS).

- In 2007, they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Health Policy at St. George's University.

- Later, from 2008 to 2013, they attended St. George's University School of Medicine, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Medicine.

Furthermore, they have obtained additional certifications such as Emergency Medical Services Subspecialty Certification (from the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 2023) and Emergency Medicine Certification (from the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 2019). Matthew has also acquired various certifications in emergency care and response, including National Incident Management System (NIMS) certifications, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, CPR Instructor qualification from the American Heart Association, Emergency Medical Technician accreditation from the State of New York Bureau of EMS, and ITLS Instructor certification from the International Trauma and Life Support organization.
