Jennifer Courtney is a Trustee at California Pharmacists. Jennifer previously worked as Lead Pharmacy Technician Instructor/Extern Coordinator at the Institute of Technology from March 2009 to November 2014. There, they were responsible for instructing a 40-week continuous course for Certified Pharmacy Technicians. Jennifer also developed, taught, modified, and assessed lesson plans for pharmacy technician students in all aspects of the pharmacy profession, including pharmacological management, pharmacy financial issues, and inventory management.

Before their work at the Institute of Technology, Jennifer worked as a Per Diem Pharmacist at Lucky Pharmacy from February 1998 to November 2020. There, they provided patient counseling and recommendations on prescription and self-care medications. Jennifer also administered immunizations, including influenza, pneumococcal, Zostavax, etc. In addition, they served as liaison between physicians, nurses, pharmacists, technicians, and customers to ensure accuracy and safety of pharmaceutical procedures for patients.

Jennifer is a skilled pharmacist with over 20 years of experience in the field. Jennifer is knowledgeable in all aspects of the pharmacy profession and has excellent customer service skills. Jennifer is a recipient of the Excellent Service Certificate and has consistently received 100% ratings in customer service from “secret shoppers”.

Jennifer Courtney has a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from California Northstate University-College of Pharmacy, a Bachelor of Science in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from University of California, Davis, and an Associate of Arts in Chemistry, General Science, and Liberal Arts from Solano Community College. Jennifer also has certification from the California Pharmacists Association in Furnishing Smoking Cessation, Furnishing Self-Administered Contraception, and Pharmacy-Based Travel Health Services and Yellow Fever Vaccine Immunizer. In addition, they are certified by the American Pharmacists Association in The Pharmacist & Patient-Centered Diabetes Care: A National Certificate Training Program and by the Ca Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist. Finally, they have certification from Drug Store News Pharmacy Practice as a Patient Vaccine Educator and Immunizer.
