Dr. Jalal Torabzadeh

Dr. Jalal Torabzadeh is a distinguished academic and professional in the field of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, currently serving as the Chairperson and Professor at California State University, Long Beach since 1986. Dr. Torabzadeh has held various leadership roles within the university, including Interim Chair, Program Coordinator for the Antelope Valley Engineering Program, and Vice Chair. Prior to this extensive tenure, significant experience includes roles as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California, a Consultant/Research Scientist at Chevron, and a Research Associate at USC. Dr. Torabzadeh completed a Ph.D. and an MS in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Southern California, following a BS in Chemical Engineering from Abadan Institute of Technology.
