Jeff Johnston began their work experience in 1994 as a Teacher at Lodi Unified School District. In 2016, they transitioned to the role of Library Media Specialist within the same district. In 2010, they took on the position of President of the Lodi Education Association within the California Teachers Association.
Jeff Johnston attended Lodi High School from 1984 to 1988. Jeff then went on to UC Santa Barbara, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from 1988 to 1993. Following this, they pursued a Teaching Credential in Secondary Education and Teaching at the University of California, Davis from 1993 to 1994. Later, they earned a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from California State University-Sacramento, completing their studies from 1998 to 2000. Finally, Jeff obtained a Credential in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University from 2016 to 2019.
