Andrea Parker

Andrea Parker is a dedicated educator and creative professional with a focus on sustainability and innovative teaching methods. Currently serving as a Virtual Educator at California Virtual Academies since September 2021, Andrea fosters a joyful learning environment for students remotely. In addition, as the Creator & Curator at Elevated Seams, started in August 2020, Andrea promotes sustainability through upcycling and reducing landfill waste. Prior experience includes a role as a Thrift Shoppe Sales Associate at Hospice East Bay, where valuable materials for upcycling were sourced, and extensive experience as a Science Teacher and Department Chair at various high and middle schools from August 2006 to June 2019. Andrea holds a Master of Education in Humane Education from Valparaiso University and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Religious Studies from Occidental College.
