Contract Design Engineer at Calla Health Foundation

Diego Gonzalez's work experience begins in 2017 as a Research Assistant at Grande Allen Research Laboratory. They then transitioned to the role of Hospital de Amor Cancer Hospital Product Innovator at Rice 360° Institute for Global Health in 2019. In 2020, Diego worked as an Innovation Systems Engineer at Cepheid, gaining experience in prototyping, design analysis, and interdisciplinary collaboration. In 2021, they became a Doctoral Student at Duke University and continued this role until 2022. Currently, Diego is a Doctoral Student at Rice University and also works as a Contract Design Engineer at Calla Health Foundation.

Diego Gonzalez's education history is as follows:

Diego began their education at Dawson School, where they attended high school from 2013 to 2016. After completing high school, they moved on to The Buckley School and obtained their High School Diploma in 2017.

Diego then enrolled at Rice University in 2017, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering. During their time at Rice University, they also pursued a minor in Global Health Technologies, which they completed in 2021.

In 2021, Diego attended Duke University to further their studies in Biomedical/Medical Engineering, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. Diego completed their studies at Duke University in 2022.

Continuing their academic journey, Diego joined Rice University once again in 2022 to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering, which they are currently pursuing.
