Danny Cheng

Danny Cheng is a Principal Research Engineer at Callaghan Innovation, with a career spanning over a decade in various engineering roles. At Callaghan Innovation since February 2013, Danny has been instrumental in project management and the design, development, and commissioning of control and vision systems for custom-designed machines, involving PLC, HMI, and industrial robotics. Previous experience includes serving as a Research Scientist at Industrial Research Ltd and as a Mechatronics Engineer at Paric Measurement. Danny holds a PhD and BE in Mechatronics, along with a BA in Statistics and Japanese from The University of Auckland.
