Sarah Sun has a diverse work experience spanning from 2008 to the present. Sarah started their career as an Accounts Officer at the Legal Services Agency and later took on roles as a Payroll & Accounts Officer, Assistant Accountant, and Management & System Accountant. Sarah then became an Acting Senior Accountant, where they served as the Finance Matter Expert for the Integration of Legal Services Agency into Ministry of Justice Project. Sarah then moved on to work at the New Zealand Ministry of Justice as a System Documentation & Support Analyst, where they provided financial system administration and support. Sarah later joined Landcorp Farming Ltd as a Financial Analyst/System Support, overseeing budgeting system administration and user support. Sarah then transitioned to a career in the IT industry, working at Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand as a Product Support Analyst and later as an ICT Service Manager. Sarah also served as the Product/Platform Owner for NetSuite, collaborating with IT stakeholders to align product releases with business objectives. Currently, Sarah holds the position of Head of Digital & AI Whare - Innovation Expertise at Callaghan Innovation, where they lead a team that delivers sector-specific products and support, fosters strategic relationships, and supports system-level initiatives to drive sector growth. Additionally, Sarah is an Executive Council Member at AI Forum NZ.
Sarah Sun completed their Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (BCA) degree in Accounting & Commercial Law from Victoria University of Wellington. Sarah obtained additional certifications including MoP® Foundation from AXELOS Global Best Practice in October 2020, Creativity Bootcamp from LinkedIn in January 2019, NetSuite Certified ERP Consultant from NetSuite in May 2018, Salesforce Certified Administrator from Salesforce in October 2017, NetSuite Certified Administrator from NetSuite in August 2017, SuiteFoundation Certification from NetSuite in December 2015, and Chartered Accountant from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in December 2014.
