Teona Pipiya Johnson has held various roles in marketing and strategy throughout their career. Teona began their career at Hoffmann-La Roche in 2004 as a Scientist in the Genetics and Genomics Department, where they performed competitive analyses and managed studies on new technology for genomics research. After that, they joined Roche Pharmaceuticals in 2007 as part of the Mircera Brand Team and in 2008, they transitioned to the Marketing Analytics and Business Strategy role. During this time, they forecasted sales for Roche's HIV and mature products. In 2010, Teona moved to Pfizer as a Manager in US Marketing for LYRICA, where they developed and managed promotions for the brand. Teona then took on several other roles at Pfizer, such as Senior Manager for BOSULIF, Director and Commercial Brand Lead for BESPONSA, and US Team Leader for the AML Portfolio. In these roles, they led the planning and launch of various oncology products and oversaw their commercial success. Most recently, Teona joined Calliditas Therapeutics in 2021 as Head of Marketing, where they built the organization, team, and strategy to support the commercialization of a therapy for a rare kidney disease. In 2023, they were promoted to Vice President of Marketing. Throughout their career, Teona has demonstrated their expertise in commercialization, strategy development, and team leadership.
Teona Pipiya Johnson obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from NYU Stern School of Business between 2006 and 2008. Prior to that, they studied Biology/Genetics at Cornell University, with a focus on Biology.
