Thierry Christophe

Thierry Christophe has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Thierry currently serves as the President and Managing Director at Calliditas Therapeutics Suisse and France, as well as the Head of Research at Calliditas Therapeutics AB. Prior to these roles, they worked at Genkyotex S.A as the Head of Research and Managing Director. Thierry also held various positions at Galapagos, including Translational Research Leader, Head of Therapeutic Area, Director in vitro Biology, Director Biology, Director of in vitro pharmacology, screening, and ADME/T, and Group Leader for in vitro compound evaluation and ADME/T. Earlier in their career, they were the Head of Screening Technologies and Pharmacology Department at Institut Pasteur Korea and the Head of Screening at Euroscreen. Thierry began their career as a Post doc at the MRC Laboratory for Molecular Cell Biology and completed their doctoral studies at CEA.

Thierry Christophe's education history begins with their time at Lycée V. Hugo in Besançon from 1991 to 1993, where they pursued their Classes Préparatoires in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. After completing this stage, they then attended Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier from 1993 to 1996. During these years, they worked towards obtaining an Engineer degree with a focus on Chemistry. Finally, Thierry pursued further studies at Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble I) from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology.
