Justin Kearns has extensive work experience in the field of data science, research, and engineering. Justin is currently working as a Data Scientist and Researcher / co-founder at CalmWave, where they focus on reducing nurse and physician burnout and improving patient safety through data science-driven software. Prior to this, Justin worked as a Data Scientist at PagerDuty, where they invented and developed new products using intelligent, statistical, and ML methods. Justin also has experience as an Engineering Consultant at Boeing, where they worked on various projects related to structural health monitoring, aircraft landing loads prediction technology, structures optimization, and energy harvesting components performance evaluation, among others. Justin has a strong background in research and development, with a focus on structural health management and ultrasonic methods for defect inspection. Justin has filed multiple patents for their innovative work in these areas. Justin Kearns attended Henry Clay High School for an unknown period of time. Justin then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Kentucky, where they studied from 1998 to 2003. After completing their undergraduate studies, Justin Kearns furthered their education by obtaining a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, which they attended from 2003 to 2005.
