Ricardo Garcia Coyne

Project Manager II at CALSTART

Ricardo joined CALSTART in 2021 as Northeast Project Manager, where he focuses on charging infrastructure, financial innovation, and policy development to accelerate medium- and heavy-duty vehicle electrification. He has led CALSTART research on middle- and last-mile delivery electrification across seven geographies, co-authored a white paper on zero-emission vehicle sales, and collaborated with projects to pilot and scale up innovative financial models for zero-emission truck deployments in New York.

Ricardo holds a Master of Public Administration in Development Practice from Columbia University, with a specialization in management. During his graduate program, he collaborated with NYSERDA in the development of the state’s first ever DC fast charging incentive program, and with Daimler Trucks North America on the advancement of commercial vehicle electrification in Mexico City, Portland, and Toronto. Before this, Ricardo worked as a development consultant for Fundación IDEA, focusing on sustainability and economic development.
