Paul Morrison

Paul Morrison has over 15 years of experience in software engineering and research. Paul began their career in 2005 as a Software Engineer at CSC, where they developed Java software using JEE and related technologies. In 2007 they joined CISRA, where they held various roles including Principal Software/Research Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer and Team Leader, and Standard Software Engineer. In 2019 they moved to ATOMOS as a Principal Research Engineer, where they developed innovative algorithms for video content creation devices, constructed deep neural networks for computer vision tasks, and modelled, trained, and evaluated networks using PyTorch and Tensorflow. In 2020 they joined Rapiscan Systems as a Software Engineer, where they developed high-performance C++ software for image processing and x-ray machine communications, as well as built proof-of-concept x-ray systems with Python. Currently, Paul is a Senior Computer Vision and AI Engineer at Calumino.

Paul Morrison received their Bachelor of Engineering (Computer) from Western Sydney University in 2003, and then continued their studies there to earn their PhD in Engineering (Computer) in 2011.
