Christy Burch

Christy Burch is an experienced healthcare professional currently serving as an Infectious Disease Physician Assistant at Calvert Internal Medicine Group since March 2020. Prior to this role, Christy worked as a Surgical Critical Care Physician Assistant at MedStar Washington Hospital Center from September 2018 to February 2020. Christy has also contributed to emergency preparedness and planning at WMATA and served as an adjunct faculty member at both Prince George’s Community College and Anne Arundel Community College. Christy’s extensive background in emergency services includes a tenure as a Fire Fighter-Medic III with the Prince George’s County Fire & EMS Department from March 2002 to September 2009. Christy holds a Master of Public Health from The Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Science in Health Sciences in Physician Assistant from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, a Bachelor of Science in Physiology/Neurobiology from the University of Maryland, and a Paramedic qualification from Washington Hospital Center.
