Andrew Shogan was appointed President, Multi-Disciplinary Oncology, in April 2021. In this role, Mr. Shogan is responsible for the growth and development of software, services, and technology solutions for providers and patients across the cancer care continuum. He joined Varian as Senior Vice President in June 2019 through the acquisition of Cancer Treatment Services International, Inc. (CTSI).
Mr. Shogan was co-founder and Executive Director of CTSI, where he served in various management roles leading finance, strategy, and development since the group’s inception in 2006. Mr. Shogan was most recently Group CEO prior to CTSI’s acquisition. He led the formation of CTSI’s technology-enabled clinical services business as well as the continued growth of its healthcare services operations, which included a rapidly expanding network of cancer hospitals in India and South Asia and a comprehensive diagnostic reference laboratory.
Mr. Shogan began his career with Deutsche Bank Securities, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in the Health Care Investment Banking Group. While at Deutsche Bank, Mr. Shogan worked with biotechnology, specialty pharmaceutical, drug delivery, medical device, life sciences, and healthcare services companies on a wide variety of corporate finance and M&A transactions.
Mr. Shogan holds a bachelor’s degree in both Economics and Psychology from Middlebury College. He received his Master of Business Administration with a major in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
