Donald A. Borden

Donald A. Borden was appointed Camden County College’s fifth president on April 5, 2016 following a nationwide search by the College’s Board of Trustees. Mr. Borden assumed the presidency on July 6, 2016.

Mr. Borden previously served as superintendent of the Audubon Public School District in Camden County from 2006 to 2013. During his tenure, the district solidified their financial footing while increasing diversity through the implementation of the school-choice program. In addition, his entrepreneurial approach to leadership led to creating partnerships with a number of organizations that increased the district’s revenue. He also reorganized the district which led to greater fiscal efficiency and improvement of the delivery of support services while maintaining research based class sizes. During his time as superintendent, Mr. Borden served as an officer of the Camden County Superintendent’s Roundtable.

Mr. Borden also served as Principal of Audubon Junior-Senior High School where he worked closely with Camden County College to provide both remediation and credit-bearing course offerings to the students. Mr. Borden started his scholastic career teaching regular and special education, while coaching numerous varsity sports. His first administrative position was Assistant Principal at Audubon High School, followed by Principal of the Mansion Avenue Elementary School. In addition to his work in public education, he taught for many years as an adjunct professor at Camden County College.

Mr. Borden holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from Rowan University and a bachelor’s degree from Glassboro State College.
