Campbell Taylor Washburn is looking for an individual with over 12 years of accounting experience to join our team as a Senior Accountant. This position will function as a supporting team member to our contract accounting services practice within the Firm. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the CFA Senior Manager.

The primary responsibilities include servicing clients in a variety of industries by performing daily and monthly accounting support activities.

Responsibilities: (List may include, but not limited to, the following)

• General Ledger - Prepare journal entries, analyses, account reconciliations, and assist with the month-end and year-end close process
• Review of general ledger at monthend
• Design, customize and implement client set up of accounting software as needed
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank statements and credit card accounts. Resolve discrepancies
• Record CPA AJE’s from tax return preparation and roll Retained Earnings
• Fixed asset management
• Inter-company reconciliations for multiple entities
• Balance sheet account reconciliations
• Understanding of Chart of Account mapping
• Accounts Payable- Maintain accounts payable, record bills, and pay invoices
• Accounts Receivable - Maintain accounts receivable, prepare invoices, post payments, and research discrepancies
• Financial statement analysis
• Investor statement analysis and understanding to enter journal entries
• Merger and acquisition experience
• Knowledge of private equity and portfolio companies accounting
• Interface with clients to provide training and consultation as needed
• Payroll – Perform payroll processing for various clients

• BambooHR and BambooHR Payroll system
• Prepare payroll reporting and tax payments to federal and state entities
• Review 1099’s, sales and 571L property tax returns
• Management of Team scheduling software
• Assist with various ad hoc projects supporting Firm initiatives
• Travel may be necessary to clients located in the Sacramento region
• Willingness to outsource skills onsite for an interim period to support client needs

Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ years of accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of GAAP, accrual basis accounting, and financial reporting
• Knowledge of both QuickBooks Desktop and Online
• Experience processing payroll in QuickBooks
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Routinely resolves issues and suggests improvements

• Excellent time-management and ability to prioritize changing tasks
• Ability to adjust to new conditions, client's and tasks
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
• Must be able to work in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Yardi, NetSuite and AppFolio would be a plus
