Marianne Danissen has a diverse and extensive work history in the yachting industry. Marianne spent almost 10 years at sea, starting in 1993, where they gained experience as a Second & Chief Engineer and Chief Mate on various yachts. During this time, they crossed the Atlantic multiple times and even skippered a sailing yacht back from the Caribbean.
In 2003, Danissen joined Camper & Nicholsons as a Yacht Manager Assistant, and over the years, they progressed through various roles within the company. Marianne served as an ISM/ISPS Manager, ensuring the safe and compliant operations of the entire fleet. Marianne also worked as a Fleet Manager, providing a range of management services to clients, including financial tasks, administration, and compliance training.
Danissen then became a Senior Fleet Manager, overseeing a large fleet of yachts and maintaining strong relationships with owners, captains, and crew. Marianne later assumed the role of Deputy Head of Yacht Management, preparing to take over the entire team, and remained responsible for several yachts in the fleet.
Currently, as the Head of Yacht Management at Camper & Nicholsons, Danissen has overall responsibility for the Yacht Management Division, which offers a wide range of services such as accounting, technical support, crew support, compliance, and insurance. Marianne manages a skilled team across various offices worldwide and provides advice and support to yacht owners and crew.
Throughout their career, Danissen has demonstrated a passion for yachting and a dedication to safety and compliance.
Marianne Danissen completed their secondary education at Lycée Paul Cornu from 1986 to 1991. Marianne obtained a Baccalauréat G - Techniques Commerciales during this time. In terms of additional certifications, in October 1997, they achieved the Yacht Master offshore. Later on, in January 2003, they became an ISM auditor. In January 2005, they obtained the Company Security Officer certification. Finally, in March 2011, Marianne received training from the International Labour Organization on the application of the ILO Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 for trainers and maritime inspectors.
