Steven Worden

Steven Worden has extensive work experience in the field of mechanical engineering and product design. Steven is currently a Principle Mechanical Engineer and Co-Founder at Campfire 3D, an augmented reality collaboration company. In this role, they are responsible for the hardware architecture, design, development, and production of the company's products.

Prior to Campfire 3D, Steven worked at Meta Company as a Principal Mechanical Engineer, where they played a key role in inventing the future of augmented reality. Steven led a cross-functional product design and development team, solving complex engineering challenges and ensuring the successful introduction of new AR products.

Before joining Meta Company, Steven served as the Lead Mechanical Engineer at Barnes & Noble, where they developed and shipped 77 consumer products to market in just 4 years. Steven worked closely with management, operations, industrial design, and engineering teams to create premium and affordable products for Barnes & Noble stores.

Steven also held positions at Speck Design, Vavni, NetApp, Steven Worden Design, Acorn Product Development, Functional Forms, and NetFRAME Systems Inc. At these companies, they contributed to various projects, ranging from medical devices to server products, demonstrating their versatility and expertise in mechanical engineering and industrial design.

Steven Worden attended The University of Kansas from 1973 to 1977, where they pursued a degree in Industrial Design and Architecture at the undergraduate level. Following that, from 1978 to 1981, they studied at Arizona State University, earning a BSD degree with a major in Industrial Design and a minor in Engineering Design Science.
