Brian Halstead

Brian Halstead has a range of work experience in the field of public relations. In 2021, they were a member of the General/Exploration Committee for the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), where they gained basic press release writing skills and participated in speaker series with professionals in the industry. Additionally, they created a writing piece that was published in the Spring 2022 PRSSA newsletter. Brian also held the role of Programming Chair for the PRSSA in 2022, where they planned and facilitated weekly meetings for over 120 members, recruited guest speakers, and communicated meeting information to members.

In 2022, Brian worked as a Strategic Communications Intern for Penn State Athletics, where they updated and revised game/media notes and previews, as well as transcribed post-game press conferences. Currently, Brian is working as an Account Associate at Happy Valley Comm, where they collaborate with a team to analyze client needs, create strategic plans, conduct research, and create deliverables for client review and implementation.

Brian Halstead attended Massapequa High School from 2017 to 2021. During this time, they did not earn a specific degree or study a specific field. Brian then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Public Relations at Penn State University. Brian started their studies there in 2021 and is expected to graduate in 2025.
