Andrey Porras Rojas

Andrey Porras Rojas has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Andrey began their career at MBC Developers S.A. in 2011 as an Application Developer. Andrey then moved on to BAC Credomatic Network in the same year, where they worked as an Analyst and Application Developer until March 2012. Andrey joined AdvanceMe, Inc. in April 2012 as an Analyst and Software Developer, staying with the company until September 2014.

In October 2014, Andrey joined Fiserv as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked till August 2016. Following this, they joined CAN Capital as a Development Team Lead in August 2016 and held the role until March 2021. Andrey then transitioned to the role of Manager, Enterprise Architecture at CAN Capital and worked until May 2022. Currently, they are employed at CAN Capital as the Senior Manager of Software Development, QA, and Architecture, a role they assumed in April 2022.

Moreover, Andrey has had teaching experience at Universidad de Costa Rica, where they worked as a Teacher from August 2014 to March 2021.

Andrey Porras Rojas completed their education in a chronological manner. Andrey obtained their Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics from the University of Costa Rica (UCR) from 2008 to 2011. Later, from 2012 to 2017, they pursued a Professional Master's degree in Database Technologies with a specialization in Databases and Business Intelligence from Cenfotec. In 2013, Andrey achieved a certification in Soft Skills from SAS.

In addition to their formal education, Andrey has acquired various certifications. Andrey obtained several certifications in cloud computing and web development from LinkedIn in 2020, including Cloud Architecture: Core Concepts, Serverless Architecture, Learning AWS CloudFormation, Learning Amazon Web Services Lambda, Web Security: OAuth and OpenID Connect, API Testing and Validation, ASP.NET MVC 5 Identity: Authentication and Authorization, ASP.NET: Security, Become an ASP.NET Developer, Building Real-Time Web Apps with SignalR 2, Building Web APIs with ASP.NET Web API 2.2, Deploying ASP.NET Applications, Designing RESTful APIs, HTTP Essential Training, and Learning REST APIs. Andrey also obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA-C02) certification in various domains such as Compute Services, Identity and Access Management, Auto Scaling and Virtual Network Services, Application Deployment, and Databases. The certifications were obtained throughout 2020.
