Abigail Carter-Langford

Abigail Carter-Langford has extensive experience in governance, risk and compliance, and privacy and security roles within the healthcare industry. Abigail currently serves as the Executive Vice President - Governance, Risk & Compliance and Chief Privacy & Security Officer at Canada Health Infoway since June 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President of Governance, Risk & Compliance and Chief Privacy Officer at Canada Health Infoway starting in November 2018. Additionally, they have served as the Executive Director of Health Information Governance & Chief Privacy Officer at Canada Health Infoway since September 2017. Before joining Canada Health Infoway, Abigail worked at eHealth Ontario as the Vice President Human Resources & Chief Privacy Officer from March 2017 to August 2017 and as the Vice President & Chief Privacy Officer from April 2013 to August 2017. Abigail started their career at University Health Network as the Corporate Privacy Officer from August 2003 to March 2012 and also held the role of Chief Privacy Officer at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute from March 2010 to June 2011.

Abigail Carter-Langford has a diverse education history. Abigail obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts & Business with a specialization in Human Resource Management from the University of Waterloo. The duration of their study at this institution is not provided.
