William Yu, CPA, MBA

William Yu, CPA, MBA has extensive work experience in the finance and real estate sectors. From 2011 to 2019, they held various roles at Canada ICI Capital Corporation, including Vice President of Asset Management and VP of Finance/Controller. William managed a large commercial real estate mortgage portfolio, oversaw the full accounting cycle, and provided real-time support for financial operations. William also negotiated agreements with institutional investors and implemented risk management processes. In 2019, they worked as the Corporate Group Controller at EPC Capital Limited & REMAX Excellence. In 2020, they joined Canada ICI Capital Corporation as the Vice President of Operations and Strategic Initiatives. Additionally, from 2013 to 2015, they served as a Registered Dealer Representative at Sector Mortgage Investment Corp / Management Inc., where they set up compliance systems and managed investment clients.

William Yu, CPA, MBA, earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Alberta, which they attended from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Communication and Social Justice at the University of Windsor from 2008 to 2009.

In addition to their advanced degrees, William has obtained several certifications. William achieved the CPA (Chartered Professional Accountants) designation from CPA Canada in July 2015. William also holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) certification from the Canadian Securities Institute, which they obtained in May 2014.
