Percy Gyara, CPA, CGA

Percy Gyara is a CPA, CGA with extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Percy is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Canada Jetlines. Prior to their current role, Percy held various positions at Sunwing Travel Group, where they worked for a total of 10 years. Their roles at Sunwing included Vice President Finance for Hotels and Resorts, Vice President Finance for Sunwing Vacations and Airlines, Director of Finance for Sunwing Vacations and Sunwing Airlines, and Finance Controller for Sunwing Airlines. Before joining Sunwing, Percy worked as a Finance Controller at Skyservice Airlines for 5 years. Percy also served as a Finance Manager/Controller at Mount Pleasant Group, a not-for-profit organization providing cemetery and funeral services. Percy's earliest work experience was with M.H. Alshaya Co., where they served in various roles including Deputy Group Treasurer, Director of Finance and Treasury, and Finance Controller.

Percy Gyara, CPA, CGA, obtained a Bachelor of Commerce - BCom degree in Accounting from the University of Mumbai from 1986 to 1990. Percy then pursued further education and completed the Chartered Accountants of India program from 1990 to 1994, earning the CA (India) designation. In 2000 to 2002, Percy enrolled in the Certified General Accountants of Ontario program, obtaining the CGA degree. Concurrently, from 2001 to 2002, Percy also pursued the Certified Public Accountant program in Delaware, USA, obtaining the CPA (Delaware, USA) designation. Additionally, in November 2002, Percy obtained the CPA, CGA certification from the Certified Public Accountant of Ontario institution.
