David Rowbottom

David Rowbottom has a diverse work experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry. David'smost recent role was as the VP of Structured Reinsurance Solutions at Canada Life Reinsurance, where they were responsible for marketing actuarial services for structured reinsurance solutions. Prior to that, they worked at MetLife as an AVP & Actuary, providing product and pricing expertise for global employee benefits. David also has experience at SurePoint Advisors (now Gallagher), Mercer, Disability RMS (now a part of Sun Life), Cigna, and Munich Reinsurance Company of Canada in various actuarial roles, including reinsurance brokerage, benefit program design, and actuarial management.

David Rowbottom attended the University of Waterloo from 1999 to 2004, where they obtained an Honors Bachelor of Mathematics degree in the co-operative program. David'smajor was in Actuarial Science, with a minor in Statistics.

In addition to their degree, David Rowbottom has obtained several certifications. In September 2008, they became a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA). In August 2007, they achieved the designation of Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA). Finally, in April 2012, they obtained the FCIA certification from the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
