An opportunity exists for a motivated, flexible, and team-oriented person to become a Business Analyst at Canada West Land.

You will support the Project Controls Team in developing, putting into practice, and maintaining project controls policies and procedures for a variety of projects as a business analyst.

Along with helping to maintain project schedules, cost reports, and record-keeping, you will support the Project Controls team in data analysis, monitoring, and reporting of project performance. You will also be crucial to the setup and billing of the project.

Role and Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor invoice status.
  • Create and send out periodic invoices.
  • Coordinate with Finance in order track and update the status of invoices.
  • Assist Project Managers in creating current and periodic invoices.
  • Follow up on accounts receivable.
  • Assist Project Managers with managing current and aged work in progress.
  • Assist in project setup and ensure all necessary documents and approvals are in place.
  • Prepare project invoices and ensure timely and accurate submission to clients.
  • Support the Project Controls team in data analysis, monitoring, and reporting of project performance.
  • Assist in identifying project issues and providing recommendations for corrective action.
  • Assist in maintaining project documentation and records.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting project reports and analysis to management.
  • Assist in the implementation of an ERP system, including data migration, testing, and training.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications Include:

  • 0-2 Years prior experience
  • College or University education an asset
  • Previous experience in a Business Analyst or Project Controls or related field is an asset.
  • PowerBi knowledge is required
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems is an asset.
