Advisory Panel Member at Canada's Drug Agency

Yan Yu is the Founder and Director of Joyce Health, a virtual child/adolescent psychiatry clinic in Alberta, established in April 2024 to address the long waits for psychiatric care. Yan also founded The Calgary Guide to Understanding Disease in March 2012 to simplify medical education on disease manifestation. As an Advisory Panel Member at CADTH since July 2021, Yan contributes to the development of a publicly-funded national drug formulary. Additionally, as a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Calgary, a Locum Family Physician in Alberta and Northwest Territories, and an Associate Family Physician at Crowfoot Village Family Practice from June 2019 to May 2025, Yan serves various communities. Yan's leadership experience includes serving on the CFPC Board of Directors and various committees. Educational qualifications include a BSc.H in Biology from Queen's University, an MD from the University of Calgary, and two master's degrees (MPP and MBA) from the University of Oxford.
