Aleksandra Grobelna

Research Information Specialist at Canada's Drug Agency

Aleksandra Grobelna has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Aleksandra began their career in 1983 as a Teacher at High School Number 2, where they worked until 1990. Aleksandra then transitioned into the academic field and worked as a Library Assistant at McMaster University from 1991 to 1995. Aleksandra further expanded their skills and knowledge as a Library Technician at the Canada Institute for Scientific and Technical Information (CISTI) from 1996 to 1998. Aleksandra then moved into the corporate sector, working as a Corporate Librarian at Mitel Corporation from 1998 to 2001 and at Zarlink Semiconductor from 2001 to 2005. Most recently, Aleksandra has been a Research Information Specialist at the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH) since 2005.

Aleksandra Grobelna has a diverse education history spanning several years and institutions. Aleksandra pursued their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Information Studies from the University of Ottawa from 2009 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Library and Information Technician Diploma from Mohawk College between 1993 and 1996. Aleksandra also holds a Master's degree in Russian Philology from the University of Wroclaw, which they obtained in 1987. Additionally, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Russian Philology from the same university from 1977 to 1982.
