Charlene Argaez has a diverse work experience in the library and research field. Charlene began their career as a Library Technician at the Aurora Public Library from 1999 to 2003. Charlene then worked as a Receptionist at McGill University Archives from 2004 to 2005. Following this, they were employed as a Children's Librarian at the Ottawa Public Library from 2005 to 2006. In 2007, they worked as a Medical Librarian at the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital for a six-month period. Currently, they are employed as a Research Information Specialist at the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health, a position they have held since March 2008.
