Osayi Ogieva

Osayi Ogieva has extensive experience in the field of diversity, equity, and inclusion. They have held various roles in different organizations over the years. In 2012, they worked as an Education and Outreach Worker at WellFort Community Health Services. In 2013, they joined Alberta Health Services and served as an Infection Control Practitioner, Diversity Coordinator, and Senior Advisor for Diversity and Inclusion. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Canadian Blood Services as a Manager of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and later on, were promoted to the role of Associate Director in the same field.

Osayi Ogieva holds a Master's degree in Public Health from Simon Fraser University, which was obtained from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Igbinedion University, Okada, from 2003 to 2007. In terms of additional certifications, Osayi obtained a Certificate in Infection Prevention and Control from Queen's University in 2013. Osayi also has certifications in various areas including Psychologically Safe Workplaces, Canadian Certified Inclusion Professional, Change Management Practitioner, and Foundations Certificate in Public Participation.
