Vanja Vukic-Doucet has a diverse and extensive work experience in various research and project management roles within the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. They started their career in 2008 as a Research Scientist at Epocal, where they worked for eight months. In 2008, they also joined Apotex Inc as a Research Associate and stayed there for three years. They then moved on to Sussex Research Laboratories Inc in 2011, where they served as the Director of Research and Development until 2019.
In 2019, Vanja joined Canadian Blood Services as a Project Management Lead, handling various projects until 2022. Alongside this role, they also took on the responsibility of Manager, Research and Training from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Project Lead at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, where they have been serving since 2023.
Vanja Vukic-Doucet, M.Sc., MBA, earned an Honours B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa in 2004. In 2006, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the same institution. In 2016, they completed an Executive Masters in Business Administration at the Telfer Executive MBA program at the University of Ottawa. Finally, Vanja Vukic-Doucet completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA), Executive Stream at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa from 2016 to 2018.
