Victoria Prue is a nonstatus off the reserve Metis. Her mom is French and First Nations. Her father is Irish and Scottish. Her First Nations background comes from Midland (Metis town) and Christian Island. She is Ojibway Metis and was born and raised in Toronto. Her aboriginal name is “The one that stands in the west.” Growing up, Victoria didn’t know much about my culture but was greatly impacted by generational trauma. Victoria attended George Brown College where she was given an award for being an advocate for Aboriginal Rights. Victoria is a Child and Youth Worker but always had an interest in helping the Aboriginal Community directly reflected through her volunteer work in her community.
