Ana Serrano

Ana Serrano has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Ana began their career as an Associate at the Alliance for Converging Technologies (later renamed Digital 4sight), where they played a crucial role in the start-up's establishment. Ana then moved on to become the Founder and Director of CFC Media Lab, where they built the division from the ground up and made it an international center of excellence in digital entertainment. Ana also served as the Executive Producer and Producer of multi-platform works in the theatre, film, and interactive industries. Ana later founded their own production company, Prison Dancer, Inc., which produced the award-winning transmedia property, "Prison Dancer." Additionally, they have held advisory and teaching roles at OCAD University, MaRS Discovery District, and York University. Finally, they founded their own consulting firm, Ana Serrano Consulting, providing strategic guidance in various industries. Throughout their career, Ana has demonstrated a strong passion for art and design education, practice, and research, as well as a dedication to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the digital entertainment sector.

Ana Serrano pursued their education starting in 1989 at McGill University, where they completed an Honors BA in English Literature. From 1994, they attended the University of Toronto for a brief period to obtain a Post-Graduate Certificate in the School of Architecture, specializing in Information Technology and Design.
