Jillian Banfield

Jillian Banfield currently serves as Team Lead for Patient Partnership at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, focusing on genetics since March 2022. Prior roles include Senior Consultant for Patient Engagement at Dalhousie's Department of Anesthesia, Pain Management & Perioperative Medicine, and Project Coordinator at Nova Scotia Health Authority, where projects aimed to enhance impactful research and patient involvement. Jillian has a strong background in managing clinical trials in neuroradiology and coordinating equity and accessibility initiatives at Dalhousie Student Union. Academic credentials include a PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Waterloo, complemented by extensive teaching and research experience at both the University of Waterloo and Yale University.
