Katharine Coons is the National Workplace Mental Health Specialist at Canadian Mental Health. Katharine has extensive experience in program management and employee well-being, having worked as a Program Manager at WE.org and a People and Culture Project Consultant at Nuts For Cheese. At WE.org, they were responsible for overseeing a large scale international well-being program for youth, communities and workplaces. Katharine provided recommendations and supported the strategy, creation and execution of program initiatives, donor and partner relations and stakeholder reporting. At Nuts For Cheese, they advised innovative changes to the current HR infrastructure to update practices and processes in order to optimize their employee experience and communications. Katharine also collaborated with the CEO to ensure employee well-being and mental health is reflected in their policies and procedures.

Katharine Coons has a Master’s Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London. Katharine also has a Major in Psychology and a Minor in Health Studies from Dalhousie University. Her High School education is from Ridley College. Katharine also has a certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner Certificate in Project Management.
