Jeff Griffin

Jeff is an accomplished senior executive with more than 28 years of experience leading multi-million dollar research and development programs, technology development initiatives, and operations support in a national laboratory environment.

Prior to CNL, Dr. Griffin led field operations for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management (DOE-EM) as Associate Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary, where he provided strategic direction and policy leadership for the DOE-EM’s 16 field sites, a $7.2 billion annual program that encompassed over 26,000 federal and contract employees. In this position, Dr. Griffin had overriding responsibility to support field sites working across the United States to clean up and safely disposition large volumes of nuclear waste, safeguard nuclear materials, deactivate and decommission several thousand contaminated facilitates and remediate extensive surface and groundwater contamination.
