Dave Balne

Dave Balne is an accomplished sports professional with extensive experience in coaching and program management in snowboarding and para snowboarding. Currently serving as the Podium Pathway Manager and Master Coach Developer at Canada Snowboard since 2008, Balne has facilitated coach training and supported coach certification pathways. Additionally, as a Para Next Gen & Paralympic Coach, Balne managed the preparation of athletes for the 2018 Paralympics and oversaw the NextGen Para Snowboard Program. Balne's past roles include Director of All Mountain School & Teams at The Georgian Peaks Club, Head Coach for the Chinese Para Snowboard Team, and various coaching and management positions within Canadian snowboard organizations. Balne holds an Advanced Coaching Diploma from the National Coaching Institute and a degree in Recreation and Natural Science from Lakehead University.
