Faiz Ahmed has extensive experience in union support and research, currently serving as a Servicing Representative for the Canadian Union of Public Employees since July 2016, focusing on enhancing working conditions and improving collective agreements. Prior roles include Researcher for the Canadian Federation of Students, Teaching Assistant at York University, Job Evaluation Representative for United Steel Workers - Local 1998, and various positions in program development and research assistance. Faiz holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Political Science from York University, a Master’s Degree in Island Studies from the University of Prince Edward Island, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology (Honors) from Western University.
