Rodrigo Romero Hoyos has a strong background in marketing and advertising in the television industry. Rodrigo began their career at RCN TV in 2007 as a Senior Copywriter, where they created successful marketing campaigns. Rodrigo then moved to Hobsons in 2009 and 2010, working as a Marketing Specialist and Creative respectively. Returning to RCN TV in 2011, Rodrigo took on the role of Brand Manager for Drama, Fiction, Telenovelas & Series, and later became the Director of International Sales. During this time, they played a key role in establishing Caracol Internacional as one of the leading distributors of Spanish content globally. Rodrigo then joined Caracol Televisión as the Head of Marketing and Advertising in 2018, where they focused on developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns and integrating various departments to enhance business performance. Throughout their career, Rodrigo has demonstrated a talent for driving innovation and building strong relationships with external partners.
Rodrigo Romero Hoyos has a diverse education history. Rodrigo began their academic journey at The English School, where they completed their International Baccalaureate (IB) degree from 1989 to 2001.
In 2003, they enrolled at Politécnico Grancolombiano, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Marketing and Advertisement, which they completed in 2008.
The following year, from 2009 to 2011, they attended Deakin University, where they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Film and Video.
Continuing to expand their knowledge, Rodrigo joined Universidad de La Sabana in 2016 and completed a degree in Strategic Marketing Management in 2017.
