Greg Thomson

Greg Thomson is an experienced Asset Engineer currently working for Canal & River Trust since November 2019, where responsibilities include managing asset repairs, inspections, and future planning. Previously held the position of Senior Asset Engineer on a temporary basis in 2020, overseeing a team of inspectors. Prior roles include Civil Engineer/Site Manager at Peter Duffy Limited, Project Engineer at WHP Wilkinson Helsby, and Design and Innovation Engineer at Stanton Bonna Concrete Limited. Greg began a career in engineering as a Graduate Civil Engineer at WHP Wilkinson Helsby and completed early roles in customer service and operations. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Civil Engineering from Leeds Beckett University and a Btec National Diploma in Applied Science.
