Jason Sterkenburg

Jason Sterkenburg, PhD, is a highly experienced Senior Human Factors Engineer currently employed at Candela Medical since February 2023. With a robust background in human factors engineering, Jason previously held similar roles at Verily, BD, and Roche Diabetes Care, leading human factors activities for diabetes care products and mentoring interns. Jason's extensive research experience includes independent and collaborative projects at Michigan Technological University, contributing to various publications and teaching efforts. Jason's earlier roles include Human Factors Specialist at Insight Product Development and User Experience Research Intern at Whirlpool Corporation. Jason holds a PhD and MS in Applied Cognitive Science and Human Factors from Michigan Technological University and a BS in Brain Behavior and Cognitive Science from the University of Michigan.
