Zahid Mehmood

Zahid Mehmood has over 24 years of work experience in various roles related to product safety, toxicology, and environmental compliance. Zahid'smost recent role is as the Global Program Lead for Product Safety, Environment & Chemical Compliance at Canon Production Printing, where they have been since March 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Product Safety & Stewardship Director at Ramboll Management Consulting from January 2019 to February 2020. Zahid also worked as a Principal Consultant Toxicologist at Vitis Regulatory from January 2017 to December 2018. Before that, they held positions at Huntsman Corporation, Ipsen, Huntingdon Life Sciences, and MRC Toxicology Unit in roles related to toxicology and research.

Zahid Mehmood has a BSc (Hons) degree in Molecular Biology & Toxicology from the University of Nottingham, which they obtained from 1988 to 1991. Zahid then pursued a PGDip (Postgraduate Diploma) in Pharmacology from the University of Aberdeen from 1991 to 1992. After that, they completed an MSc in Biochemical Technology at Teesside University from 1992 to 1993. Additionally, Zahid Mehmood holds a PhD in Toxicology from The University of Sheffield, which they earned from 1993 to 1996. Zahid also has the qualification of European Registered Toxicologist (ERT) which they obtained from 2010 onwards.
