Erica Waite Clay

Erica Waite Clay, PhD has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Senior Data Scientist at Canopius Group since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Scientist at Hiscox from October 2019 to January 2023. Before moving into data science, Erica worked as an Operations Analyst at Homesite Insurance from May 2017 to October 2019, where they applied natural language processing and machine learning tools to improve operational efficiency and conducted expense management and staffing analyses. Erica also has academic experience, serving as a Graduate Researcher at Tufts University from 2011 to 2016 and as a Math Program Manager at Emmanuel College from 2008 to 2011.

Erica Waite Clay obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mathematics from Tufts University between the years 2008 and 2016.
