Elin Jaensson Gyllenbäck

Preclinical Project Manager at Cantargia

Elin Jaensson Gyllenbäck has worked in a variety of positions in the field of immunology and developmental biology. In 2021, they began working as a Preclinical Project Manager for Cantargia AB. From 2016 to 2021, they held multiple roles at BioInvent International AB, including Team Leader, Principal Scientist, Myeloid Program Manager, and Senior Research Scientist. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Post Doc at Lunds Universitet, where they combined their knowledge of immunology and developmental biology to explore and exploit the functionality of fetal immune development and investigate mechanisms that regulate the programs of fetal and adult lymphocyte differentiation. From 2011 to 2015, they worked as a Post Doc at DanStem, Copenhagen University, where they studied tissue-microenvironment interactions and regulators of expansion and cell fate specification related to the pancreas. From 2005 to 2011, they worked as a PhD at Lund University, where they investigated the macrophage and DC populations present in the small intestinal lamina propria and the draining mesenteric lymph nodes. From 2004 to 2005, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Baylor College of Medicine, where they were part of a project using a protease-based experimental murine model of asthma to assess the role of CD4 T cells and innate immunity in controlling and mediating allergic lung disease. From 2002 to 2004, they worked as a Research Scientist at Oklahoma State University. In 2001, they completed a student internship at Lund University.

Elin Jaensson Gyllenbäck received their Master of Medical Sciences from Lund University in 2003, having studied Biomedicine. Elin then went on to Baylor College of Medicine to study Immunology. In 2002, they completed a course in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Oklahoma State University. Elin then returned to Lund University and completed their PhD in Immunology in 2011. Elin also attended Skansenskolan.
