John Champion

John Champion currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Information Technology at Bryan University since February 2025. Additionally, John has been an Adjunct Faculty member at Capella University since October 2006, teaching Business Communications for IT Professionals. Past roles include Vice President of IT at XLMedia PLC and Vice President of Infrastructure & Operations at Compass Group USA. John has also held positions as Chief Information Officer at both High Point University and Queens University of Charlotte, where responsibilities included overseeing all campus information technology services. Earlier career experiences include Director of Technical Operations and Planning at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Solutions Architect & Project Management Consultant at ChampSolutions, and roles in information technology at Oakland University and Walsh College. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Business Information Technology from Walsh College and a Bachelor's degree and BS in Education from Central Michigan University.
