Tamara Suarez Porras

Tamara Suarez Porras is an experienced educator in the field of photography and art appreciation, currently serving as a Lecturer at Stanford University since January 2022. Tamara also holds adjunct faculty positions at Diablo Valley College, Las Positas College, the University of San Francisco, California College of the Arts, and San Francisco State University, teaching courses in digital and film photography, as well as art appreciation. Previously, Tamara was the Manager of Educator Engagement at SFMOMA and has worked as a museum educator and communications manager in various art institutions. Tamara's academic background includes a Master of Arts in Visual and Critical Studies and a Master of Fine Arts from California College of the Arts, complemented by a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and Journalism from New York University.
