YMCA of Greater Montgomery
Leila Washington is a Wellness Coordinator at the YMCA of Greater Montgomery since November 2023 and has been a Fitness Instructor and Livestrong Trainer at the YMCA of Upper Palmetto since March 2021. As a Livestrong Trainer, Leila focuses on assisting cancer survivors with exercise to improve their quality of life and offers health coaching including nutrition advice. Leila is also a Certified Silver Sneakers BOOM MOVE Instructor, teaching cardio dance to the Silver Sneakers population, and a Certified Personal Trainer, having served as a Wellness Clerk at Earth Fare from June 2019 to November 2023. Previous experience includes serving as a Fitness Instructor at the YMCA of Charlotte and as a Livestrong Trainer at the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, focusing on health education and promotion. Leila is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Promotion at Queens University of Charlotte, expected to graduate in May 2024.
