Chris Vrabel

Chris Vrabel, BPSA, ECFO, currently serves as the Manager of Fire Services for the Capital Regional District since May 2021, following a notable career in fire services. Prior roles include Fire Chief and Emergency Program Coordinator for the District of Central Saanich from January 2017 until retirement in April 2021, after 28 years in uniformed service. Chris Vrabel also held positions as Deputy Fire Chief, Fire Inspector, and Firefighter with the City of Campbell River from December 1994 to December 2016. Additional experience includes serving as Principal at CKV Contracting and Owner and Director at CKV Properties within the property management sector. Earlier career experience includes Firefighter roles with the Town of Comox The. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Public Safety Administration from the Justice Institute of British Columbia, a Diploma of Public Sector Management from the University of Victoria, and a Diploma in Fire Services Leadership from the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
