Shane Nugent has over 30 years of experience in the legal and technology industries. In 2016, they began working as General Counsel for Capitalogix, a company that develops "Hedge Fund-In-A-Box" technology. Prior to this, they worked as an Attorney for Shane V. Nugent from 2003 to 2016. From 1998 to 2003, they were Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for Intelligent Learning Systems, Inc. From 1994 to 1998, they were Of Counsel for Blatt, Hammesfahr & Eaton. From 1987 to 1994, they were an Associate in the Corporate and Finance Group at Lord, Bissell & Brook.

Shane Nugent obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law between 1984 and 1987. Prior to that, they earned a B.A., cum laude in Economics and Business Administration, Political Science from Knox College between 1980 and 1984.
